Source RB, 4 April

Kyauktaw, Arakan – A Rohingya from Kyauktaw Township of Arakan state was hacked by a group of Rakhine extremists, according to locals.

Today at 8 pm, a 25-year-old Rohingya named Shafi Alam from Pisi Peik Thay hamlet was fishing in the Pee stream. A group of Rakhine extremists from Myin Kyat Rakhine hamlet came to him and brought to the village. He was then hacked by the group. Shafi Alam sustained serious injuries on his eyebrow on his right side. He shouted around to get a help from someone while being brutally attacked by the Rakhine extremist group. Fortunately a group of Rohingyas who are fishing in Pee stream heard his voice and came to his rescue. The Rakhine extremists ran out when the group of Rohingyas arrived. Myin Kyat Rakhine hamlet is just on the opposite side of Pisi Peik Thay hamlet.
